Details to Consider When Planning a Hawaii Vacation
You’ll find nothing quite as good as a Hawaiian vacation, packed with lots of fun, to prepare you for the year ahead. Hawaii’s exceptional beaches are just what you need to wash away the cobwebs since your last holiday, and Hawaii vacations will recharge your batteries and prepare you to face the world again.
It’s possible you’ll prefer going to only one of the Hawaiian Islands or you will want to look into spending time on all the islands. Each island has something different to offer.
A Hawaii vacation may involve traveling to one or more of the islands in the Hawaiian chain. You will find something worth seeing in each one of the islands.
Oahu boasts famous Waikiki Beach, the state’s capitol of Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor where you can visit the USS Arizona museum. Most tourists decide on Oahu when going to Hawaii for the first time. It’s not just the busiest Hawaiian Island and the one most visited by tourists, but is best for sightseeing if you’re fascinated with history. You will probably have to spend time here in any case during your Hawaiian vacation, since the majority of flights to and from the Islands use Honolulu as a hub.
The northern most island in the Hawaiian chain is Kauai. It is the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands. Kauai is filled with natural beauty and affords numerous choices for an intimate retreat or an outdoor adventure. The east side of Kauai is the Coconut Coast where you’re able to bask on golden sand beaches and then to the west side is located Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Near Waimea Canyon is Kokee State Park where nature buffs can hike a number of trails to enjoy rainforest plant life along with endangered birds.
Opposite in the island chain from Kauai is Molokai. About half the people of Molokai are of native Hawaiian roots. The island is still ardently connected to its Hawaiian culture.
For a much slower pace, explore Lanai. This island doesn’t have any stop lights and it is much less crowded than the other islands. Lanai is the perfect place for privacy and romance. For the golfer, there are two prestigious golf courses to be found here.
The second biggest island in the Hawaii Islands is Maui. A number of the top beaches in the world are said to be located here. Maui also offers remarkable opportunities for viewing the whales which migrate through these waters every winter.
Hawaii’s Big Island is, as you’d assume, the biggest island in the island chain. For that matter it is larger than all the others combined, and offers 11 of the 13 climatic zones of the world. Among its numerous attractions are mountains topped with snow, earth’s most active volcano and lovely sandy beaches. The Big Island is certainly a must on any list of Hawaii vacation choices and also good if you are looking for reasonably priced real estate.
If you are unable to decide upon the island you would like to explore, then try all of them. You can book a Hawaii Island cruise that starts at Honolulu and then spends 1.5 days on each island. You will spend evenings on your luxury cruise ship, and experience the best that the Hawaii archipelago has to offer.
When, however, you do choose to spend the nights on land, you will have no trouble getting a place. There are thousands of hotels available in Hawaii. Moreover, it is easy to find a Hawaii vacation rental.
