There are so many activities you can do in Hawaii, from day to night, from indoor to outdoor, from top of mountain to the bottom of the ocean.
I would suggest you check on the Hawaii website as stated below for the top activities that you must enjoy.
Check it out and enjoy your trip!

if you are going to Oahu, there are so many things to do that you may not have time in a week or two weeks to see and do everything. Don’t get caught up in the scam of guided tours, just rent a Jeep and explore for yourself. Things that stand out are : The International marketplace in Waikiki, the flea market on the weekends at Aloha stadium, Pearl Harbor and the U.S.S Arizona , Diamond Head, China man’s hat…Wow, I guess there are too many things to list. OOH yeah, take plenty of sun screen as Hawaii is very close to the equator and the sun will burn you badly even if you think you have a good tan now.

I took my 3 kids last Summer…ages 12,14 and 17. We stayed on Oahu for 10 days at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach Hotel…we all enjoy surfing so we surfed 6 out of the 10 days (if you are not a surfer and need lessons go ask at the Moana Surfrider Hotel Activities Desk for FRITZ…IMHO, the best Surf-Instructor in the Islands)…we had ALOT of Beach and Pool time, but we did take time out for Visiting the Arizona Memorial (we do this EVERY time we come to Hawai’i out of Respect),we shopped up and down Kalakaua Ave as well as at The Ala Moana Shopping Mall (largest out-door mall in the World) we also rented a car for 2 days and cruised over to North Shore…(do this) this is where Pipeline is, Largest Waves anywhere…especially during the Winter. (you don’t want to surf here unless you’re a PRO), check out Hanauma Bay (where Elvis’ movie “Blue Hawaii” was filmed)

Pick up the Oahu Saver book…you can find them everywhere…they have some good deals on Activities! Also download the ‘Trip Advisor’ site I gave above..
The Best way to get around is Public Transportation…Traffic on Oahu is outrageous…so I would only rent a car for a day or two to get to the other side of the Island..North Shore

Are you coming to Hawaii (the state) or Hawaii (the island)?
Hawaii (the state) encompasses 8 major islands and hundreds of smaller islands and atolls with many things to do on most islands.
Hawaii (the island) is one specific island whose main attraction is the active volcano that has been erupting since the 80′s. There are also macadamia nut farms, lots of scenery, and the typical touristy things to do.
Hope that helps you…..good luck and happy travels!
